On Wednesday, president spoke at the opening ceremony of a three-day conference in Islamabad on ‘Emerging Trends in English Language Teaching in Pakistan: Challenges and Opportunities.’
The President emphasized the importance of increased international cooperation in bridging communication gaps in the global age of digitalization.
On the occasion, US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome stated that the US values its ties with Pakistan and is committed to strengthening them.
People-to-people contacts, he said, are at the heart of our bilateral relations, and we look forward to deepening engagement and strengthening cooperation in the field of education.
According to the ambassador, this conference is a fantastic opportunity for professional networking, learning, and developing new skills.
The conference has been organized by Allama Iqbal Open University in collaboration with US embassy in Pakistan.
The ambassador said this conference is a golden opportunity for professional networking, learning and making new skills.
A large number of local and foreign researchers will attend and participate in the conference’s various thematic and technical sessions. The conference will also feature 159 papers.
The conference will provide an opportunity for academia to engage and improve the creative and teaching skills of English language teachers throughout the country.
