The IT services in the Pakistan receives $25 Billion

During the first ten months of the current fiscal year 2023–24. Pakistan made US $2.593 billion by giving different Information Technology (IT) services to other countries.

Now to the US $2.135 billion obtained through the supply of services during the comparable months of the previous fiscal year 2022–2023. The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported this reflects a gain of 20.41%.

The export increased by 24.55% during the reviewed months. From US $1.729 billion in July of previous year to US $2.153 billion in April of 2023–2024.

Within computer services, this year saw a 10.80% increase in exports of software consultancy services. From US$ 633.107 million to US$ 701.456 million.

And a 19.24% increase in exports of hardware consultancy services, from US$ 4.793 million to US$ 5.715 million.

Export/import of Computer Software Services

The export and import of computer software services increased by 6.77 percent, from $489.737 million to $522.909 million.

While the export of repair and maintenance services fell by 45.69 percent, from US $2.762 million to US $1.500 million.

In the meantime, during the review months, exports increased by 105.90%, from US $4.240 million to US $8.730 million.

The information services, news agency services saw a 167.58% gain in exports. Rising from US $2.505 million to US $6.730 million.

Other information-related services saw a 16.83% increase, rising from US $1.735 million to US $2.027 million.

The report showed that the export of telecommunication services rose by 7.04 percent, from US $402.260 million to US $430.590 million.

Call Centre Services

Call centre services saw a 17.59% increase in exports over the course of the year, going from US $180.682 million to US $212.467 million.

Unlike, other telecommunications saw a 1.56 percent decrease over the same period, going from US $221.578 million to US $218.123 million, according to PBS data.
