The Punjab government has launched the ‘Naya Pakistan Health Card Mobile Application’ to provide information on the federal government’s ‘Sehat Sahulat Program.’

Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Punjab’s Health Minister, and senior officials from the provincial health department inaugurated the app on Sunday in Lahore, according to reports.

Dr. Yasmin, who spoke at the occasion, explained that the application has been linked to the National Database Regulatory Authority (NADRA) since individuals’ records with the NADRA are required in order to access healthcare services at all empaneled hospitals in the province.

Residents of Punjab can receive free treatment for up to Rs. 1 million in 133 public, secondary, and tertiary hospitals around the state, as well as 101 private hospitals.

She went on to say that under the Sehat Sahulat Program, each family will be given a health card in the name of the family’s head, who will be responsible for registering with the authorities via the application.

In addition, the provincial administration has established dedicated assistance desks in the offices of Assistant Commissioners at the Tehsil level. They can also call the helpline at 0800-09009 to get more information about the program’s free therapy.
