The first beta of iOS 16.5 was released to developers on Tuesday, and it primarily focuses on internal improvements and a single modification to Apple News and Siri.
After a month-long beta period, Apple finally released iOS 16.4 to the general public on Monday. The latest beta of iOS 16.5 was released without delay, but otherwise, not much has changed.
Users have found that the sports area of the Apple News app now has its own tab at the very bottom of the app. With iOS 16’s September release, the material has been accessible, however it was hidden in the app’s Current view or Following tab.
When iOS 16.5 is released, there will be a new tab where sports fans can easily get all of the latest headlines. No new tabs appeared in the navigation bar. Apple, on the other hand, combined the Following and Search tabs into a single interface.
Apple adds another Siri command in the new iOS version
Another user-facing addition, a Siri command, has been found in the beta. There are only two instructions necessary to control screen recordings with the user’s voice-activated assistant.
Saying “Hi Siri, begin recording the screen” will begin the recording. Telling Siri to cease recording the screen works as expected. Nevertheless, Shortcuts does not include these capabilities.
The release notes for each of Apple’s operating systems also included a single modification in addition to these foundational elements. Home admins can now pair or add Matter accessories with one another.
Fixing bugs and making minor adjustments to the system seem to be the primary goals of this release. The beta period has just begun, but with WWDC coming up in just a few months, it won’t be around for very long.
