With the recent rise in the use of technology, the amount of space that humans consume has increased drastically. This is because of all the land we use to build industries, offices, corporate sectors, and whatnot. On top of that, more space is taken up by the vehicles we use and eventually park when they are not in use. So a huge portion of space is also wasted as parking spots. This is especially more common in huge corporate areas where hundreds of employees commute to work every day. In cases like these, multiple floors of a building might be reserved just for parking space.
OptimPark is here to change that. At GITEX 2020 Technology Week, TechX Pakistan talked to them about how they aim to bring change. OptimPark designs and builds mechanized car parking space in order to save more land. They claim to store more than ten cars in the usual parking space that could hold two cars. Further, their representative explained to us that in the area of 10 square meters, they hold the ability to store more than 30 cars. These functions are made possible through mechanisms like rotary, mechanized umbrellas, robotic palletisation, and sometimes even a fusion of these mechanisms. Summing up, they strive to solve car park challenges.
