Critics of globalization and digitalization often accuse these movements of diminishing the importance and interplay of moral values and codes in the modern society. But ZeLoop has proven this accusation completely false by combining a social cause with the wonders of technology.
At GITEX 2020, the Community Manager of ZeLoop, Serena Mae Faris met up with us. She talked to us about how their app is helping make a positive impact on the environment through its agenda of promoting recycling and sustainability.
What is ZeLoop?
It is an active and running app. The app is available for download on all mainstream platforms. It gives incentives to the user to recycle more, conserve the environment, and maintain sustainability. At ZeLoop, actions matter more than words. So, it rewards environmentalists with points on every contribution towards the eco system. However, it should be noted that these activities can involve reusing or recycling plastic, using compostable cups, inviting your friends to the app etc. Then, the user is rewarded after their participation is validated.
Features
Meanwhile the rewards are definitely worthwhile. ZeLoop even has its own crypto currency called the ‘eco-rewards’. This currency can be redeemed in exchange for exciting prizes, discounts, and vouchers from ZeLoop’s partners which are many, and more to come. (Check site)
It also runs campaigns called the ‘eco-missions’.These campaigns encourage the users to be considerate towards Mother Nature and adopt a more eco-friendly lifestyle. They also had an eco-mission going on at GITEX 2020 where they awarded prizes to the person who deposited the highest number of plastic bottles. Needless to say, it was a blast.
