Dell Technologies Inc., headquartered in Round Rock, Texas, is an American global innovative technology corporation. It was founded as a result of the merger of Dell and EMC Corporation in September 2016. (which later became Dell EMC).
Personal computers, servers, cellphones, televisions, computer software, computer security and network security, as well as information security services, are among Dell’s offerings. Dell was rated 35th on the Fortune 500 list of the top US innovative technology firms by total revenue in 2018.
In addition, Dell announced its intention to buy EMC Corporation, an enterprise software and storage firm, for $67 billion on October 12, 2015. It was dubbed the “highest-valued technological acquisition ever.” Temasek Holdings of Singapore and Silver Lake Partners of the United States were important Dell shareholders who approved the deal, in addition to Michael Dell.
Moreover, Dell Inc. finalized its merger with EMC Corp. on September 7, 2016, involving the issuance of $45.9 billion in debt and $4.4 billion in ordinary stock.
