According to unverified news circulating on various social media platforms, educational institutions across the country may be closed for eight days next month due to the upcoming General Election on February 8.
According to reports, educational institutions will close on Sunday, February 4, and on Kashmir Day, February 5. They will then be closed from February 6 to 10 for the election.
Furthermore, educational institutions will be closed on Sunday, February 11, and reopen on February 12. In February, two public holidays are expected: one on February 5 for Kashmir Day and another on February 8 for the general elections.
However, these reports have yet to be confirmed by officials. Previously, it was reported that educational institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be closed from February 7 to 9 due to the general election.
The decision has reportedly been finalised, but an official announcement is expected in the first week of February. Furthermore, local authorities may consider extending the holidays based on current circumstances.
