Steam’s numbers are showing no signs of slowing down. Only a few months ago, the PC games store had 33.6 million concurrent users, and Valve’s digital platform currently has over 34 million, according to reports on Saturday.

According to SteamDB data, a record-breaking 34.298 million people were online concurrently on Saturday at 7 p.m. PKT.

These figures are based on Steam’s historically successful games such as Counter-Strike, but there are also some recent additions to the list, like HELLDIVERS 2, Last Epoch, Palworld, and others.

Counter-Strike, Dota 2, and PUBG have long been the top performers on Steam, but as previously said, there are some new additions to the list. HELLDIVERS 2 and Last Epoch were released last month, while Palworld debuted in January.

HELLDIVERS 2, developed by Arrowhead Game Studios, follows the original Helldivers nearly ten years later.

It also offers a change in genre, since the original was a top-down shooter, and the sequel features third-person cosmic action against a variety of extraterrestrial monsters. It is now available on Steam for $39.99.

Last Epoch first became playable as a demo in 2018, but it was officially released in February 2024. It is a hack-and-slash action role-playing game created by Eleventh Hour Games that costs $18 on the platform.

Palworld, sometimes known as Pokemon with firearms, is an action-adventure, survival, and monster-taming game developed and distributed by Japanese developer Pocket Pair.

Nintendo has taken legal action against the game because its creatures, known as Pals, are very similar to Pokémon. The game sells for $10.45 on Steam.
