Startups now plunge to find effect of Evolve Bank

Popular among fintech startups, Evolve Bank and Trust, said on Wednesday.

The infamous ransomware group LockBit seems to have been the culprit for the hack; on their dark web leak website, they uploaded data purportedly taken from Evolve.

On its website, Evolve features a number of businesses as partners. Who rely on the massive banking institution to provide some of their lending and financial services.

Effects Of Evolve Breach

Affirm was contacted, Airwallex, Alloy, Bond, Branch, Dave, EarnIn, Marqeta, Mastercard, Melio, Mercury, PrizePool, Step, Stripe, TabaPay, and Visa. In order to learn more about the effects of the Evolve breach on these businesses.

Affirm Notified Its Clientele

The finance startup Mercury, another partner of Evolve, stated on X that records related to the company were affected by the Evolve breach, “including some account numbers, deposit balances, business owner names, and emails.”
