According to an SSGC spokeswoman, gas supply to all CNG stations in Sindh province, including RLNG pumps, would be cut off for 72 hours from Saturday, August 26 at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, August 28 at 8:00 a.m. to fulfil public demand.

Gas supply to all General Industries will be cut off for the next 48 hours beginning at 8:00 a.m. on August 26.

While the corporation did not provide an explanation for the gas shutdown, a lack of gas is the most likely cause.

On Thursday, Pakistan and Turkmenistan agreed to accelerate the TAPI gas pipeline project.

The news came at a meeting between Turkmen Ambassador Atadjan Movlamov and Interim Federal Minister for Energy Muhammad Ali.

The minister emphasised the importance of gas to Pakistan’s economy. “With the country’s increasing energy demand, such projects require an aggressive approach,” he said.
