Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman, the administrator of Karachi, announced on Monday that Kidney Hill will soon have a contemporary chair lift zip line erected as part of public-private cooperation.
According to a press release, he made this statement while presiding over a meeting in his office with representatives from the KMC and DMC parks and horticulture departments.
He gave the concerned police the order to clear the obstructions from the roadways and arteries right away.
“I will personally visit and inspect all major roads and arteries managed by KMC,” he said.
“In Bagh Ibn Qasim, to highlight the colors of the culture of different friend countries, corners will be made with the Names of these countries. Trees will be planted around all major and important roads of Karachi,” he said.
Officers and the director general, Parks Junaidullah Khan, were also present.
The concerned Parks and Horticulture authorities of each district gave Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman a briefing on the parks and roads that were located within their boundaries.
He gave orders to get the parks lush and attractive as soon as possible.
The administrator gave the order to improve liaisoning with DMCs, Cantonment Boards, and other pertinent organizations for the benefit of the city.
In order to complete the work quickly and on time, he also gave the concerned police the order to come up with a viable plan for the entire city.
According to him, work will soon be completed on the Shahrah e Quaideen, Shaheed e Millat Road, National Stadium Karsaz, University, II Chandigarh, Pakistan Highway, SM Taufeeq, Shahrah e Orangi, Shahrah e Faisal, Sadar, Korangi 12,000, and other significant roads.
He gave the immediate order to grow trees along roadsides and in green areas.
He declared that all small and large parks managed by KMC would be improved, and additional trees would be planted as needed.
“All plants in nurseries should be used for the beautification of the city. Parks and recreational areas must have facilities of food stalls, washrooms, and sheds to connect the common people,” he added.
