Body cameras have been given to field agents by Sindh Police in response to the escalating crime rates in Karachi. 768 bodycams have been purchased by the department for the Karachi City Traffic Police (CTP).
During a high-level meeting, Inspector General (IG) Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon made this declaration. The field agents will take a training session to learn how to use and operate the camera, a police spokeswoman said.

The police system in Karachi has been connected to 20,000 private CCTV cameras. All police stations have also been modernized with e-tagging capability.
All police stations in the city now have the ability to e-tag, and 20,000 private CCTV cameras are connected to the police network, according to Additional Inspector General (AIG) Javed Akhtar Odho, who spoke to the audience. He disclosed plans to acquire modern technology for the department in Karachi.
According to AIG Odho, these technologies would be crucial in reducing numerous street crimes.
