In a major administrative move, the Sindh government has announced plans to rename four districts in the Karachi Division.
This decision, reported by 24NewsHd TV, aims to reflect a more localised approach to district nomenclature and is expected to be well received by residents.
According to details, the Karachi West District will be renamed the Orangi District, indicating a shift towards more localised naming conventions.
Similarly, the Karachi Central District will be renamed Nazimabad District, a move that is expected to be well received by residents.
Continuing with this initiative, the Karachi East District will be renamed the Gulshan District, while the Karachi South District will be reduced to just the Karachi District.
As part of the renaming process, authorities have decided to keep the existing names for Malir District, Korangi District, and Kemari District.
