The Board of Directors of Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) has revealed the company’s financial results for the fiscal year ending December 31st, 2023.
The company reported a profit after tax of Rs. 5.8 billion in 2023, compared to a loss of Rs. 72 million in 2022.
Shell Petroleum Company Limited
In October 2023, Shell Petroleum Company Limited, a subsidiary of Shell plc (Shell), agreed to sell its 77.42% stake in Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) to Wafi Energy LLC.
The deal will be completed once all necessary regulatory approvals, legal requirements, and other closing procedures have been met.
SPL recognises and welcomes the government’s recent move to strengthen industry margins and take strong efforts to combat black market activity in order to stabilise the currency.
