These steps reflect the Kingdom’s long-standing focus on law and order while shaping a more organized future workforce system. Thousands Arrested for Residency and Labor Violations
According to official reports, nearly 19,975 violations were recorded in just one week. These included breaches of residency rules, labor laws, and border security regulations. During the same period, 14,867 illegal immigrants were sent back to their home countries after completing legal procedures. Saudi officials continue to stress that living and working in the Kingdom requires proper documentation and legal approval.
Border Security Violations and Arrests
Saudi security forces also stopped many people attempting to enter the country illegally. A total of 1,419 individuals were arrested while trying to cross the border unlawfully. Most of them belonged to neighboring or nearby countries. In addition, 48 people were detained while trying to leave Saudi Arabia illegally for other countries, showing that border monitoring is active on all sides.
Action Against Helpers and Facilitators
The campaign does not only target illegal residents. Authorities also arrested 11 individuals who helped others with illegal travel, housing, or employment. Officials warn that providing shelter, transport, or work to illegal residents is a serious offence and can lead to strict punishment.
