Rs. 2.31/unit reduction approved by NEPRA in DEC FCA

The monthly fuel cost adjustment (FCA) fees for ex-WAPDA distribution companies (DISCOs) have been reduced by Rs. 2.31 per unit by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for the month of December.

According to the NEPRA’s announcement, relief for the FCA from December will be applied to bills due in February.

According to NEPRA, the FCA will apply to all DISCO customer categories with the exception of lifeline customers, domestic customers using up to 300 units, customers of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS), and agriculture customers of all XWDISCOs.

The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA-G) had recommended a lowering of Rs. 2.19 per unit in terms of FCA for December, which is pertinent to state here.
