Mohammad Rizwan, a Pakistani wicketkeeper batsman, continued his outstanding PSL 2023 performance on Wednesday by hitting his team’s first century against Karachi Kings.

In his first four games of the tournament, he had scored fifty runs in three of them and was remained not out in the fourth.

On Wednesday, he got off to an easy start, batting his first fifty off just 42 balls.

Rizwan and Shan Masood Partnership Against Karachi

In an 85-run partnership for the first wicket with Shan Masood, who scored 51 runs off of 33 balls, Rizwan was outscored. He assumed responsible for increasing the score rate after Masood left.

Masood stated that he intended to relieve Rizwan of the burden of scoring frequently during the mid-innings interval.

“It was a bit of a relief. I was the only batter who was not scoring. It was important to take that pressure off from him,” the left-handed batsman said.

“I kept telling him that I could take on the bowlers. He is a special player, and he is one of the best batters in the world at the moment.”

Multan, on the other hand, fell short of the 200-run threshold and had to settle for 196-2. With 29 from 21 balls, Rilee Rossouw was unable to get going.
