Review of the Realme GT2 explorer master

Realme announced the GT2 Explorer Master flagship last week, which is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a bespoke design created in collaboration with fashion designer Jae-Jung.

The GT2 Explorer Master distinguishes itself from other phones in terms of design. The back of the phone is made of light grey vegan leather, with copper brown elements and a flat metal frame. It’s a well-made device with a reasonable weight of 195 grammes.

The front panel features a flat 6.7-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a centered punch hole for the 16MP selfie camera. Realme will also include capacitive shoulder triggers on the side with the power button.

These buttons allow you to perform certain actions in games, such as steering a car, but there are no markings on them, so you may miss out on the feature entirely.

The retail box includes the phone, a black silicone case, a Realme 100W charger, and a USB-C cable. Realme UI 3.0 runs on top of Android 12, but because this is a China-only release. That’s all for now, but stay tuned to our homepage for a full review of the Realme GT2 Explorer Master edition.
