Release date of Apple's iPhone 15 has been leaked

According to a recent rumor, Apple is set to introduce the iPhone 15 series on September 13. This Wednesday’s announcement is six days later than last year’s Wednesday unveiling of the iPhone 14 series.

According to the report’s numerous reputable sources, US mobile carriers have warned their employees against taking time off on September 13 in preparation for a “major smartphone announcement.”

While it’s possible that this is just a random release, the timing makes it seem more plausible that it’s real and connected to Apple’s upcoming event.

There have been many speculations recently suggesting some interesting new features for the iPhone 15 series. New and better cameras, as well as thinner bezels, are expected to be highlights of the 15 Pro models.

There have been rumors that the 15 Pro Max will contain a periscope module to improve the camera’s functionality. The standard 15 and 15 Plus are rumored to include Dynamic Island cuts, although 120Hz ProMotion display technology hasn’t been mentioned as yet.

The vanilla and Plus models are likely to keep using the A16 Bionic chip from last year, while the Pro models are slated to receive a newer chip.

Price-wise, the iPhone 15 Pro is expected to begin at $1,099, which is $100 more than its forerunner. The 15 Pro Max, however, may see a price increase of $200, putting its base price at $1,299.
