The Ministry of Energy recently reported that on August 21st, power generation in Pakistan hit an all-time high. The highest ever recorded output of electricity was 25,516MW on August 21 at midnight.
This is a significant increase over the previous record set on August 18 of 24,600MW. On August 21, 558.35GWH of energy was reported, which was higher than the previous record of 555.33GWH set on July 8.
Maximum electricity recovery in Pakistan
According to the ministry, there have been fewer hours of load shedding and less of a shortfall this year compared to last. Maximum-recovery zones did not experience load shedding for longer than two hours. This year’s addition of 5,000MW to the grid has resulted in record-breaking generation capacity.
With electricity consumers experiencing escalating rates, the record high generation provides little relief to the general people. New data show a rise in the national.
