Hassan Khan, a left-arm orthodox, has partially replaced Shahid Afridi, who is unavailable for the first few matches due to COVID-19.
Hassan Khan is one of the 15 reserve players in the Managed Event Environment, therefore he won’t have to go through 72 hours of isolation to join the Quetta Gladiators in PSL 7.
The Event Technical Committee, which is led by Zakir Khan (Director – International Cricket Operations) and comprises Nadeem Khan (Director – High Performance) and Sameer Khosa, has accepted the partial replacement of Afridi.
Just before the commencement of the seventh season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Shahid Afridi tested positive for COVID-19. Quetta Gladiators had signed Lala because it is going to be his last PSL tournament.
Shahid Afridi played for Peshawar Zalmi in the first two seasons of the Pakistan Super League before joining Karachi Kings for the third season. From PSL 4 through PSL 6, he played for Multan Sultans.
In the meantime, the Quetta Gladiators will face the Multan Sultans tonight. To complete their Karachi leg of the PSL campaign, they will face Islamabad United and then Lahore Qalandars.
