According to an international news agency on Sunday, Qatar Airways has informed passengers that it would not be operating any more flights to or from Sudan while Khartoum International Airport remains closed.
The reason behind flight suspension by Qatar Airways to Sudan
On Saturday, fighting broke out between army units loyal to General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, who is the leader of Sudan’s transitional ruling Sovereign Council, and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which is led by General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, also known as Hemedti, who is the deputy head of the council. Both sides are under the command of General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
