Punjab will house Pakistan's first smart city ever

Ch. Pervaiz Elahi, the Chief Minister of Punjab, received a visit from Khawaja Tauseef Ahmad, CEO of the Aga Khan Foundation Cultural Services Pakistan (AKCSP), at the CM Office. During the conference, the crucial decision was made to work with the AKCSP to build Lahore as a smart city.

The CM was also looking for a project plan in this situation. According to him, Lahore would have the distinction of becoming the first smart city in Pakistan.

He continued by saying that the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) will assist in the digitalization of the city of Lahore and that urban amenities will be provided via a mobile app.

Additionally, Baba Bulleh Shah’s tomb in Kasur will undergo renovations to fit the Wazir Khan Mosque’s design.

Earlier this week, CM Punjab was present at the Governor House for MPA Khayal Ahmad Kastro’s inauguration as a minister. Baligh-ur-Rehman, the governor, swore in Khayal Ahmad Kastro.

The CM commended the newly appointed minister on taking the oath and expressed confidence in his ability to carry out his duties in a professional manner while striving to serve the needs of the populace.

The administration is committed to the general populace’s welfare and is making every effort to help the people.
