Punjab’s government has made a giant step towards preventing sexual abuse of children by mandating classroom instruction on the topic throughout the province’s schools. The shocking increase in reports of child sexual abuse prompted this action.
The Department of School Education has given all school districts explicit instructions to educate their children on this critical matter. Administrators and educators have been tasked with giving talks about how to stop bullying and other forms of violence in the classroom.
Punjab is incorporating new thing in curriculum
The curriculum will instruct young people on how to deal with sexual harassment and how to spot and avoid predators. In addition, students will be strongly encouraged to report any instances of child abuse they witness at school.
The number of reported cases of sexual abuse of children in Punjab has recently increased, according to the province’s home department data. In particular, 1,390 incidences of child abuse were revealed in the province in a report spanning the first six months of this year.
