CM Maryam Nawaz Announces Massive Petrol Relief for Punjab Bikers

Punjab Petrol Subsidy

The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has officially launched a Massive Relief Package to support common citizens during this fuel crisis. Under this scheme, registered motorcycle owners across Punjab can now get 20 liters of petrol every month at a fixed price of only Rs. 100 per liter. This initiative is a direct response to the recent hike in petroleum prices, aimed at providing immediate financial breathing space to students, office workers, and daily-wage earners.

Key Benefits of the Relief Package

This package is not just about cheaper fuel; it is a comprehensive support system for bikers. Here are the main highlights:

Eligibility and Free Vehicle Transfer

To ensure that the relief reaches the rightful owner, the government has set a strict ownership policy. The motorcycle must be registered in the applicant’s own name.

How to Apply (Starting April 4, 2026)

The registration process has officially started today, Saturday, April 4. The government has provided three easy ways for citizens to apply and register their vehicles for the subsidy:

Verification and Fuel Collection

Once you submit your application through any of the above channels, the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) will verify your CNIC and bike registration data.

Strategic Importance of the Scheme

This move is being hailed as one of the most significant relief efforts in Punjab’s recent history. By focusing on the “Motorbike Class,” the government is targeting the segment most affected by inflation. CM Maryam Nawaz has stated that the administration is committed to standing by the people during these “extraordinary economic times.” This scheme not only provides financial relief but also encourages citizens to register their vehicles properly, improving overall provincial security and documentation.
