To commemorate the athletes’ achievements, the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs has begun preliminary work on Pakistan’s first sports film.
In this regard, a high-level meeting was conducted, which was led by DG Sports Punjab, Javed Chauhan, and attended by Director Youth Affairs, Syed Umair Hassan, Iqbal Shahid, and other involved parties.
DG Sports Punjab stated to the media that the goal of filming the first-ever film on Punjab sports is to highlight the achievements of the players and motivate the next generation across the country.
Javed Chauhan further added that the film will be made in collaboration with the private sector and the cooperation of the private sector will prove pivotal in the development of sports.
He also stated that the film will be focused on the players’ hard work and successes, and that the department has already begun preliminary work on the film’s development.
Chauhan stated that in this day and age, it is critical to attract and bring the youth to sports through mediums such as cinema. Nowadays. our youth is not familiar with our legends and heroes so it us our responsibility that our sports heroes must be known and film is one of the best platforms for it.
