Pubg mobile developer tencent suspends from launching new apps by china

Tencent, a Chinese multinational company, has been told to temporarily halt the distribution of any apps in China until the end of the year.

Tencent is the world’s largest video game vendor, best known for famous mobile games like PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile, as well as owning or controlling gaming firms such as Riot Games (Valorant, League of Legends), Epic Games (Fortnite), and Supercell (Clash of Clans), among others. It also owns the WeChat and QQ instant messaging apps.

The Ministry of Justice introduced a technology industry regulator to assess compliance with new privacy standards earlier this month. As a result of these restrictions, new apps and updates will be suspended until the end of the year, while Tencent applications are subjected to technical assessment by the regulatory authority.
