PUBG MOBILE Asian Games Qualifiers: 23 Teams Compete

The PUBG MOBILE Asian Games qualifying journey officially begins on June 19, 2026, with 23 national teams — including Pakistan — set to battle for coveted spots at the 20th Asian Games in Japan. PUBG MOBILE Esports confirmed the full lineup and tournament structure for the 2026 Asian Games Esports Qualifiers: PUBG MOBILE Asian Games Version, marking the second consecutive Asian Games to feature PUBG MOBILE as an official esports title.

PUBG MOBILE Asian Games Qualifiers: Format and Schedule

The qualifiers will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, running from June 19 to 21, 2026. The 23 participating teams have been randomly drawn into two groups for a Group Stage on June 19–20, with the top six teams from each group advancing to the Qualifiers Finals on June 21.

From the Qualifiers Finals, eight elite teams will earn their places at the Asian Games Esports Events in Japan. They will join three teams that have already secured berths — the gold, silver, and bronze medallists from the 19th Asian Games representing China, the Republic of Korea, and Chinese Taipei — as well as Japan, which receives an automatic slot as the host nation, completing a 12-team field.

Matches will follow the classic Battle Royale format. The confirmed map rotation has matches one through four played on Erangel, with the final two matches shifting to Miramar at every stage of the competition.

Group B: Brunei Darussalam, Iraq, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan.

Pakistan has been highlighted among the key contenders alongside Indonesia, Iraq, and Uzbekistan, all regarded as powerhouses within the regional PUBG MOBILE Asian Games competitive scene.

Star Players and Teams to Watch

Fans can expect high-profile talent across the bracket. Notable participants include members of 4Thrives Esports, winners of the 2026 PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) Season 1, and players from Yangon Galacticos, champions of the 2025 PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC). The returning 2026 PUBG MOBILE Pro League (PMPL) champions, Magna Esports Club, will also be competing for a place on the Asian Games stage.

The breadth of talent on display underscores how far competitive mobile gaming has evolved as a recognised international sport. The inclusion of PUBG MOBILE in the Asian Games programme for a second consecutive cycle reflects the growing legitimacy of esports within multi-sport events sanctioned by the Olympic Council of Asia.

Pakistan’s Esports Moment on a Global Stage

For Pakistan, participation in the PUBG MOBILE Asian Games qualifiers represents a significant milestone for the country’s growing esports ecosystem. The nation has steadily built a reputation in mobile gaming competitions across Asia, and a strong qualifying run here could place a Pakistani squad on one of the largest international sporting stages in the world.

Pakistan’s esports community has expanded rapidly over the past several years, supported by increasing smartphone penetration and a young, digitally connected population. Performing well in this qualifier would send a powerful signal about the country’s competitive gaming potential on the continental level.
