In July 2023, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) received 13,459 complaints from telecom consumers against various telecom operators and cellular operators, of which 12,222 (90.81 percent) were settled.
Official Complaints Received in July 2023
Various telecom operators, including cellular mobile operators (CMOs), Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL), long-distance international (LDI) operators, wireless local loop (WLL) operators, and internet service providers (ISPs), received complaints in July, according to official data.
Cellular mobile subscribers account for a sizable portion of the total telecom subscriber base. As a result, this portion receives the greatest amount of complaints.
By July, the total number of complaints against CMOs had reached 12,826, with 11,670 (90.99 percent) answered.
Telcos Complaints Data Shared By PTA
According to PTA data, Jazz received 5,785 complaints, of which 5397 (93.92 percent) were handled.
Furthermore, Telenor received 2,241 complaints, of which 2,030 (90.58 percent) were handled.
Similarly, Zong received 3,156 complaints, of which 2,791 (88.43 percent) were addressed.
A total of 1,641 complaints were filed against Ufone, with 1,450 (88.36 percent) of them being settled.
In addition, the PTA received 138 complaints about basic telephone, 110 of which were resolved in July, for a resolution rate of 79.71 percent.
Furthermore, 485 complaints were received against ISPs, 433 (89.28 percent) of which were addressed.
