The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) released 89 Cyber Security Advisories last year, with the goal of increasing community understanding and vigilance about cyber security concerns and best practices.
PTA released 89 Cyber Security Advisories
The dossier indicated that PTA issued 43 cyber security advisories between July and December 2022, with 37 being critical and 6 being high. Similarly, from January to June 2023, PTA got 46 advisories, of which 36 were critical and 10 were high.
Raising Cyber Security Awareness
Last year, PTA released 42 internal and 47 external cyber security advisories on a wide range of topics, including network security enhancement and developing threat mitigation measures.
According to PTA, warnings and notifications are critical in raising cyber security awareness, acting as the first line of defence against potential cyber threats.
In today’s digital environment, remaining informed about emerging vulnerabilities is not a luxury, but rather a requirement, which is where advisories and warnings come in.
Advisories are thorough notices that identify specific hazards or vulnerabilities, whereas alerts are more immediate notifications concerning current and active threats that frequently necessitate rapid action.
Both of these gadgets act as beacons in the digital environment, directing users through potential cyber risks.
