The Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 schedule will continue as planned thanks to an agreement between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and all six franchises.

There are concerns about the future of the PSL 8 matches that are set to take place in the Karachi city following the attack on the Karachi police chief’s headquarters on Friday night.

Nonetheless, the PCB convened an urgent meeting to which franchise representatives were invited.

In the meeting, PCB took franchises’ confidentiality after consulting with security organizations and the provincial government.

They all decided to go with the current PSL edition in Karachi according to schedule as an outcome.

At 7 o’clock today, Quetta Gladiators will play host to Karachi Kings at National Bank Cricket Arena. According to plan, Peshawar Zalmi’s team will also arrive in the city this morning.

Three consecutive games will be held in Karachi on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. On February 26, there will be no more games played in the city.

It should be noted that Quetta and Lahore Qalandars were practicing in the city’s stadium at the time of the incident. Until the security checkpoint was open, both teams remained inside the stadium.

Multan hosted the sixth PSL 8 match between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans on Friday.

The Sultans were led to their second straight triumph this season by Rilee Rossouw and Usama Mir. The Sultans were able to score 210-3 in 20 overs thanks to the left-handed batter’s heroic 75 runs against.

Usama later performed his duties with the ball. In the middle overs, he quickly took three wickets to help his team get back into the game.

Saim Ayub, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, and Tom Kohler-Cadmore were quickly ousted from their positions.

Once Zalmi went out to chase 211 runs, Young Saim was in the lead. Usama entered and caused extensive damage.

Then, Usama hit beautiful lengths and quickly took out wickets to put Zalmi in trouble.
