During the twelve months of the fiscal year (FY22) 2021–22, agricultural tractor output increased by 16.01 percent to 58,880 units from 50,751 units produced during the same months the previous year.
According to Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), the output of trucks also increased during the period under review, rising from 3,808 units to 5,659 units, representing an increase of 48.60 percent.
Additionally, production of Jeeps, pickup trucks, and other light commercial vehicles (LCVs) increased by 42.96 percent to 44,421 units during the fiscal year under review from 31,072 units during the previous fiscal year.
Similar to this, the output of buses increased by 15.96% from 570 to 661 units over the time period under consideration, according to Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA).
In contrast, the production of passenger automobiles increased by a record 49.17 percent, from 151,794 units produced from July through June of 2020–21 to 226,433 units produced during the time under review.
The country’s output of motorcycles and three-wheelers plummeted to 1,826,467 units during July–June from 1,902,415 units during the same period, representing a nominal reduction of 3.99 percent, it continued.
