Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman, the governor of Punjab, has ordered all public university vice-chancellors to prohibit political activity on their campuses.
Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was given the opportunity to speak at the Government College University (GCU) and the University of Sargodha (SU).
In this situation, Governor Punjab issued instructions via letter, emphasizing that while politicians may access colleges, political activities are not permitted on campus.
Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI, was asked to speak at an event at SU yesterday. While there, he made the comment that Governor Punjab had been instructed to forbid him from giving a speech on the campus.
He also questioned how political personalities would not be allowed to speak on campuses and how students would learn about politics.
All political figures, including Bilawal Bhutto, should address students, he declared. Imran Khan had previously spoken to college students at the Government College University of Lahore.

Balighur Rehman, the chancellor, took note and expressed sadness that the nation’s premier university had become a “political battleground.” The Punjab governor stated in a tweet that there was no room for such political gatherings to be held in educational institutions.
