According to reports, some OMCs are suspected of stockpiling petroleum products in storage facilities. Such practices may have disrupted normal supply flow in the market and raised concerns about artificial shortages affecting fuel availability across the country.

Authorities believe that any restriction or manipulation in fuel supply can contribute to upward pressure on prices. The petroleum sector plays a key role in inflation, and disruptions in supply can directly impact transport costs and overall economic conditions.
