A ground-breaking Rs. 5 billion project to resurrect and advance the sports industry, including conventional and E-sports, has been launched by PM Shehbaz Sharif.

PM Initiative For Sports Development

The launch of this comprehensive initiative, which aims to help athletes and federations and create an environment that fosters the growth of sports, is scheduled for July 18.

A budget of Rs. 1.1 billion would be set aside with an emphasis on recognized Olympic sports federations to help develop future Olympians by conducting talent searches and promotional campaigns.

In order to influence the direction of sports education and research, the proposal also calls for the establishment of a Sports University in Islamabad, supported by Rs. 1 billion.

For stakeholders, notable players, and sportsmen, the Sports Endowment Fund has been given Rs. 1 billion to assure personal financial support.

Through the stakeholders’ scholarship program, Rs. 330 million will help coaches while Rs. 400 million will promote the growth of athletes through specialized training abroad.

400 million rupees have been set aside for conferences and seminars aimed at educating people about the pressing need for sports progress.

The potential of these financial resources to build a solid basis for Pakistan’s sports progress is highlighted by officials.

PM Shehbaz Sharif will speak at a gathering in Islamabad to discuss his goals for the initiative and stress how crucial it is for advancing the sports industry there.
