Petrol price raised by PKR. 30 by government

Miftah Ismail, Finance Minister, stated today i.e., Thursday, 02. June.2022, that the government has decided to raise the price of petroleum products by Rs. 30 per litre, hiked at midnight. The government reportedly has announced to raise petrol price to Rs209.86, just after increasing the rate by Rs30.

Ultimately, the consequences of petrol price raise have built a tension in economy that is affecting negatively on the trade and transportation of the country. People who use public transports have been complaining about the raise in bus, rickshaws and other ride-a-hail platforms’ fares.

Reportedly, the public busses have raised their fare price by Rs. 20 and that has been disturbing to many people who are earning hand-to-mouth.

Drivers and transport owners also show their rage and frustration towards the continuous raise in the petroleum products since it is affecting their daily wage and work; mostly passengers are seen to be arguing with the drivers for the increase in fares.

The revised price (per litre) of petrol are:

Petrol — Rs209.86

Diesel — Rs204.15

Light diesel — 178.31

Kerosene oil — Rs181.94

It is advised to the respected nation that avoid negotiating for the hail-ride fares a lot because the raise in petroleum products is disturbing the whole cycle and since the drivers deserve to be paid well too. We hope our Pakistan a healthy economy and a better environment.
