Peshawar Zalmi will use AI for new talent hunt in 2023

In order to find new cricketing potential in the province of Sindh, the Peshawar Zalmi, in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), recently held its potential Hunt program there. From July 21-23, Karachi hosted the program’s second leg, giving young cricketers from Sindh a chance to show off their skills.

During trials, the 2017 PSL champions used cutting-edge technology to assist the selection committee in determining the true velocities and trajectories of the bowling deliveries. On Twitter, Rashid Latif said, “We successfully used AI-based Ludimos 360 solutions during the Peshawar Zalmi Talent Hunt held at the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy.”

Kamran Akmal was part of the selection panel alongside Peshawar Zalmi

Former wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal was part of the selection panel alongside Peshawar Zalmi president Inzamam-ul-Haq and cricket director Muhammad Akram.

Trials for the franchise were held at the Hayatabad Sports Complex earlier this year, and hopefuls were able to give it a tryout. The program is a great way for talented young cricketers to get their names out there and potentially get into the professional circuit.
