The PCB has stated that on the final day of the third Test between Pakistan and Australia, the World Cup will be shown at Gaddafi Stadium to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Pakistan’s 1992 World Cup victory.
Imran Khan led Pakistan to its first-ever World Cup triumph 30 years ago on March 25, defeating England in the big event’s final.
The day is remembered as the pinnacle of Pakistan’s cricketing history, as it was the team’s lone World Cup victory.
Because the final day of the historic Test series between Pakistan and Australia falls on the anniversary of the monumental victory, the Pakistan Cricket Board has chosen to make the occasion even more memorable by allowing fans to celebrate with the trophy.
The World Cup trophy will be on display at Gaddafi Stadium tomorrow, and cricket fans will be able to take photographs with it.
While the celebrations will continue on the sidelines, a tight battle between the two teams is expected in the middle, as Pakistan needs 278 runs to win the series against Australia with 10 wickets in hand.
