Topline Securities market analysts noted that the trading session was marked by low volume and lackluster activity, with the index largely moving sideways.

However, there was some selling pressure in the final hours of trading as investors reduced their holdings in anticipation of the long weekend. The KSE 100 Index closed the day at 46,232, representing a -0.29 percent decrease.

HUBC, LUCK, HINOON, NATF, and COLG were the top contributors to the index’s performance, each adding 53 points to the index.

POL, SYS, OGDC, TRG, and MEBL, on the other hand, saw a drop in value, weighing down the index by -338 points.

The total trading volume for the day was 177 million shares worth Rs. 6.93 billion. With 10.9 million shares traded, OGDC led the day in terms of trading volume.

While the market fell during this trading session, investors will be watching developments closely when trading resumes after the weekend, as market dynamics can often shift quickly due to various economic and geopolitical factors.
