Pakistan will officially launch a Women's Cricket League similar to the PSL next year

According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has planned to conduct a women’s cricket tournament similar to the Pakistan Super League next year in order to develop women’s cricket in the country.

Tania Malik, the PCB’s Head of Women’s Cricket, claimed that the cricket board is anxious to promote women’s cricket in Pakistan, and that as a result, a women’s T20 league modelled after the PSL will be held in 2023. The plan has already been authorized by PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja.

Tania Malik, a former national badminton champion, believes Pakistan’s cricket squad is capable of defeating any team in the world, and she expects Pakistan to get to the World Cup semi-finals.

Tania went on to say that the women’s squad will also compete in the Asian Games this September.

Tania mentioned that on March 4, Southern Punjab and Sindh will play an exhibition T20 match at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore in honor of Women’s Day.

The Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team is currently in New Zealand, where they will play their first match against arch-rivals India at Bay Oval Stadium on March 6.

In their campaign, they will take on Australia on March 8, South Africa on March 11, Bangladesh on March 14, the West Indies on March 21, England on March 24, and New Zealand on March 26.
