Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) while taking genuine note of the import, deal, and utilization of GSM supporters/intensifiers/repeaters and coordinated for forbidding such practices.
The Authority has expressed that it has been seen that expanding utilization of unacceptable
GSM Boosters/Amplifiers/Repeaters introduced by portable clients themselves are causing obstruction in Cellular Mobile Operators (CMOs) recurrence groups and weakening nature of versatile administrations.
Utilization of GSM Boosters/Amplifiers/Repeaters is carefully denied, expressed the Authority. Just CMOs are permitted to import GSM Boosters and introduce them at portable clients’ premises.
PTA has cautioned that all the shippers, wholesalers, venders, and clients of GSM Boosters to abstain from import/circulation/deal/utilization of GSM Boosters in any case legitimate move will be made against the violators considering Pakistan Telecommunication (Re-association) Act 1996.
