In an interview with the media, Fozia noted that harassment is a global issue and that numerous complaints have been received from university students.
According to survey, 56% of students faced harassment in 2019, with 26% of female students harassed in higher education institutions.
According to Fozia Waqar, complaints have been received from Bahawalpur and Iqra University in Punjab.
The tragedy at the Bahawalpur Islamic University was tragic. It became public after the institution’s head security officer was arrested for narcotics possession.
She added that 857 incidences of harassment were recorded in 2022.
And that not offering women with equal opportunities for growth and lowering their pay also constitutes harassment.
She stated that situations of domestic violence are not covered by their institution.
But that if there is harassment with a domestic male or female employee, they can report it. There have also been reports of guys dividing themselves.
She also emphasised the importance of raising student knowledge through the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
