Over 300 people killed

Over 300 people have died as a result of the city’s recent high temperatures, according to reputable weather forecasting organisation PakWeather.

Extremely High Temperatures

Yesterday, the port city saw extremely high temperatures, ranging from 42 to 44 degrees Celsius.

According to PakWeather, the heatwave is projected to continue for the next two to three days.

Which making the already poor circumstances much worse.

Projected Heatwave

Livestock has been severely impacted by the intense heat, in addition to humans.

Over the last three days, over a thousand animals have perished due to the high temperatures, resulting in substantial losses for farmers.

Key Concerns

One of the key concerns is whether the afflicted animals can receive prompt medical attention. Concerned about the heatwave’s impact on milk output are farmers.

Authorities have released recommendations advising citizens to stay inside during the hottest parts of the day, stay well-hydrated.

And take preventative measures to avoid heat-related ailments. While Karachi struggles with one of the worst heatwaves in recent memory, the situation is still dire.
