According to a fresh rumour from reputable tipster, Digital Chat Station, Oppo may be the next smartphone company to join the phone repairability bandwagon.

According to the Chinese source, Oppo intends to introduce a new initiative that will allow free battery replacements for up to four years after you purchase your phone.
This programme will begin with the upcoming Oppo A2 Pro 5G, which is anticipated to be released in China this weekend.
Another tipter with the moniker WHYLAB has also mentioned Oppo’s new endeavour.
He claims that if the health of your phone’s battery falls below 80%, you will be entitled for a free battery replacement under the after-sales service.
Which is a significant improvement above the typical 1-2 years guarantee we get from phone providers. It is unknown whether this programme will reach Pakistan.
The Oppo A2 Pro 5G has yet to be announced by the manufacturer, but leaks have already given detailed details about it.
The Oppo A2 Pro 5G
It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC and feature a 6.7-inch OLED screen with side curves. The screen will be 1080p 120Hz with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The primary camera will include a 64MP sensor and a 2MP depth lens. The selfie camera should have an 8MP sensor hidden under a punch-hole cutout.
A 5,000 mAh battery with 67W fast cable charging capabilities will be included. In terms of software, it will run Android 13 alongside Oppo’s Colour OS 13.
3 Different Variations
The phone will come in three different variations:
- $288 for 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
- $315 for 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
- $343 for 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
