Oppo bring to light a Low-Budget Rebranded A55 5G

The Oppo A55 5G, a new handset in the A55 family, has been unveiled. Despite being named after the Snapdragon 480-powered A55s 5G that was released in Japan in November, the phone has the same specifications and design as the A55 5G, which was announced in January of last year.

Design & Display

The Oppo A55s 5G, like the A55 5G, sports a 6.5-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a standard refresh rate of 60W. It also has 4,096 different dimming levels.

Processor & Storage

The phone is powered by a 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, which features two Cortex-A76 (2.2 GHz) cores, six A55 (2.0 GHz), and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It has 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 2GB of virtual RAM, and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using the Micro SD slot.

The device runs ColorOS 11.1, which is based on Android 11

Camera

The smartphone comes with a triple camera system that includes a 13MP primary camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera is housed in a punch-hole cutout.

Pricing and the Battery

The phone has a 5,000mAh battery that can’t be charged quickly. In the Oppo A55s 5G bundle, you’ll find a charger, a USB A to C cable, a protective case, and other essentials. The smartphone is already available for pre-order in China. Sales will begin on the 25th of this month. The basic model will set you back $175, while the one with 8GB of RAM will set you back $190.
