The federal government has decided to increase the profit rates of Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPCs) by up to 6% across various holding periods.
According to Topline Securities, the profit rates on the Naya Pakistan certificate have been raised upwards from 15% to as much as 21% in PKR terms. These changes will take effect on September 1, 2023.

Profit rates have been raised in order to provide attractive rates of return to foreign Pakistanis and to promote forex inflows into the country via Roshan Digital Accounts (RDAs).

Profit Rates in US Dollars on Naya Pakistan Certificate
In keeping with rising interest rates in the foreign market, the profit rates on government-guaranteed investment bonds have been raised in rupee terms. In US dollars, the rates of return are as follows:

According to SBP figures, total inflows into RDA accounts increased to $6.487 billion.
By the end of July 2023, the number of accounts held by expatriate Pakistanis in 175 countries had risen to 596,268.
According to central bank figures, $1.474 billion in funds were repatriated as of the end of July, with $3.884 billion used locally.
The total amount repatriated and utilized is $5.359 billion, with a net repatriable obligation of $1.128 billion.
Roshan Digital Account Total in Net Investments
RDA totaled $731 million in net investments from September 2020 to July 2023.
NPC Investments (Conventional) totaled $319 million, with NPC Investments (Islamic) totaling $390 million.
Roshan Equity Investments has a net worth of $21 million. Balances in Accounts totaled $377 million, with Other Liabilities totaling $20 million.
