On May 23, Oppo will release an Oppo Reno 8 smartphone series

One of Oppo‘s most popular smartphone lines is the Reno series. It includes some of the company’s best-selling phones and is available practically everywhere in the world. The Chinese company is now preparing to debut the latest model in its Oppo Reno series in the country. On May 23, 2022, the Reno 8 family will be formally established.

According to rumors, it will include a new Qualcomm chipset, most likely the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, which will be unveiled in China later this week. Some versions will include MediaTek processors.

The Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 SE are likely to be part of the Oppo latest lineup. Because of earlier leaks, we already know the specifications for these phones.

Specifications

Reno 8 Pro will have a 6.7-inch OLED screen with 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will be powered by a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 80W rapid charging and a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max SoC. It will be offered in three colors: green, grey, and black.

The standard Reno 8 will sport a 6.62-inch E4 OLED panel with 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will have a 4500 mAh battery with 80W quick charging and the forthcoming Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor.

Finally, the Reno 8 SE will have a 6.43-inch OLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1080p. It will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1300 chipset and feature the same 4,500 mAh battery with 80W rapid charging.

There will be a triple camera configuration on the back of all three phones, as well as a 32MP front camera. ColorOS will be installed on top of Android 12.
