Oman plans to jumpstart economy with 48 new programs in 2023

On Monday, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) of Oman announced the rollout of 48 projects aimed at boosting the commercial and industrial sectors.

The news was shared during the organization’s yearly media meeting, where past accomplishments and future goals were discussed.

Oman will invest 41% more in trade

There will be over RO40bn in trade between Oman and the rest of the world by the end of 2022, an increase of 41%, according to the ministry, and over RO25bn will be exported.

At current prices, the contribution of domestic trade to GDP from most economic activities, including the services sector, has increased, as confirmed by the ministry.
