Abu Dhabi, UAE, 23rd May 2025 – The National Human Rights Institution (NHRI), in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), recently organized an awareness workshop for staff at domestic worker recruitment centers. Held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Dubai, the session targeted “Tadbeer” centers and their employees, aiming to enhance awareness of domestic workers’ rights and promote a culture of protection.
Expert Insights on Rights and Responsibilities
Abdulaziz Al Obathani, Head of the International and Regional Organizations Section at NHRI, and Maytha Al Shamsi, Project Coordinator from the Strategic Communications Department, delivered a detailed presentation. They covered:
- The NHRI’s mandate and areas of responsibility.
- Key rights of domestic workers in the UAE.
- The crucial role of employers in safeguarding these rights.

The session saw strong participation from attendees, featuring interactive discussions and Q&A segments. The workshop aimed to:
